Basically the other half will be working so it has to be an evening thing, but I didn’t want to make it the usual meal, theatre and hotel thing. Any other ideas for what I could do in London for a reasonable price?

How about a dinner cruise down the Thames? They’re very lovely at night, and it will be chilly so she can bundle up and snuggle with you to stay warm.
